HTTP status codes and its meaning

HTTP status codes are the codes that the Web server uses to communicate with the Web browser or user agent.

Here is a list of HTTP status codes that might be returned:

    
    1xx:  Information
    
    100   Continue
    101   Switching Protocols
    103   Checkpoint
    
    2xx:  Successful
    
    200   OK
    201   Created
    202   Accepted
    203   Non-Authoritative Information
    204   No Content

    301   Moved Permanently
    302   Found
    303   See Other
    304   Not Modified
    305   Use Proxy
    306   (Unused)
    307   Temporary Redirect
    
    4xx:  Client Error
    
    400   Bad Request
    401   Unauthorized
    402   Payment Required
    403   Forbidden
    404   Not Found

    406   Not Acceptable
